2017 Litter Plans

please contact us for more details

Please note all our puppies  from any of our litters are sold as pets - as responsible breeders our babies carry endorsements which restrict breeding and exportation.

Co-efficients determine the amount of common ancestors a pair might have - the average acceptable co-efficient is 3.4% - this means that matings under this percentage are less likely to inherit defective genes although because of the complicated nature of genetics there  will be exceptions to the rule.

Here at Shekinah we do our utmost to ensure we health test and outcross where possible to produce the best possible outcome  when planning our litters

We have some great plans in the pipeline please use our contact page or ring us for more details

Information on natural worming and flea programmes

We believe in a natural approach to rearing puppies and adult dogs - all babies will experience a range of natural foods including organic chicken, lamb and beef, Home laid eggs and organic yoghurt as well as salmon, sprats, trout, and sardines are an integral part of our babies diet. We strive for the best start for all our babies. We also feed venison, rabbit, pheasant and turkey ensuring the puppies are exposed to a wide variety of tastes and textures guaranteeing the correct nutrients and calcium for growing and development. We will supply you with a book on natural feeding, a good supply of natural foods and as much advice as you need to smooth the transition between our home and yours.

We only breed from low co-efficiency parents - there is less probability of health issues in parents with a co-efficiency of less than 3.4% - most of our litters are co-effiiency tested at 0.0% and all are less than the breed average at time of mating.

We are qualified canine training instructors with over 50 years of experience in this breed. We also are graduates of the Canine Studies Institute in Canine Psychology. We are members of British Association of German Shepherd Dogs, Serve on the Committee of The White and Longcoat Society,  members of Kennel Club Companion Dog Club and Canine Health Concerns. We judge and steward at a number of shows every year.

Please note we will not sell any of our puppies as guard dogs - they do not have the temperaments required to guard shop or yard premises. They are bred for family homes and many live happily with children and other pets. We are renown for the temperament of our dogs.

Please note that reliable breeders will register their puppies with the Kennel Club

A bitch under KC regulations, is only permitted to have 4 litters registered in her lifetime and both parents must be KC registered with NO breeding restrictions placed on them before a litter can be registered - therefore we adhere strictly to the regulations and only breed from girls who have not had more than 4 litters, are registered and have no breeding restrictions on them or have had their restrictions removed by their breeder because we have met the strict guidelines set by them which usually amounts to Hips and elbows scored below breed average, excellent health and temperament.
